The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Select, Pittsburgh University Center at 100 Lytton Ave. in the Oakland district of Pittsburgh. The conference room rate is $109 per night, government rate is $87.

In addition to the conference hotel, there are several other options.

There is a Hampton Inn located at 3315 Hamlet Street. This is about 1.6 km (1 mile) from the conference site. According to its web site, it has room rates in the $79 (Government) to $99 per night range.

To walk from the Hampton to the conference, go NE on Hamlet one block to Craft, left (NW) on Craft two blocks to 5th, right (NE) on 5th to Bigelow, Blvd. (just past the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial hall on your left, and across from the University of Pittsburgh "Cathedral of Learning"). Left (NW) on Lytton to the Holiday Inn Driveway on your right.

Also in the area and about the same distance from the conference is the Best Western University Center at 3401 Boulevard of the Allies. It appears to have rates of $69 (government) to $79 per night.

From the Best Western to the conference, take Blvd. of the Allies NW for about a block to an intersection with Halket and Zulema, where Blvd. of the Allies turns slightly left. Go very slightly right on Halket (Zulema is a sharp right) to 5th, about 6 blocks. Turn Right on 5th to join the route from the Hampton described above.

About 1.8 km (1.1 miles) from the conference at 5405 5th Ave is the Shadyside Inn with daily rates from $99 for a studio to $150 for a two bedroom suite. Weekly rates are also available. Several bus routes run along 5th Ave to within a block of the conference site. Get off the bus at Tennyson and 5th, go right on Tennyson and you will see the Holiday Inn on your left.

For those on a budget, the Pittsburgh Hostel at 830 E. Warrington Ave. should be considered. This is located south of the Monongahela river, about 5.5 km (3.5 miles) from the conference and has rates of $17 to $20 per night. There appears to be reasonable bus service to 5th and Bigelow on the 54C bus which is about 10 minutes walk from the hostel. Light rail to downtown and a bus out to Oakland are also a possibility. From the stop at 5th and Bigelow, you can see the Holiday Inn. Cross to the north side of 5th, go an additional block to Lytton, left on Lytton to the hotel.

In addition to the hotels mentioned above, downtown Pittsburgh has representatives of most of the major US hotel chains. These will be a 10 minute drive or a 15 to 30 minute bus trip from the conference site.
